Unlocking AT&T Phones
I just tried experimenting on an AT&T Samsung GoPhone A107. Got it on sale during Black Friday at Best Buy for $4.99 and is locked to AT&T but I was able to unlock it by simply typing in #7465625*638*Code#
But first things first. You have to call AT&T Customer Care and ask for the code/password. You don't need to pay for anything. Just tell them that you need it unlocked. They will tell you that in order for you to get that your account has to be active for 90 days or so. But hey, mine wasn't. So, I guess you can try it out too. If you try searching for FREE unlock codes the sites that Google will redirect you to will say that it's free but once you're there they will ask for your paypal account and/or credit card info. The amount varies from $14.95 to $35. You don't have to pay that much. You don't even have to pay anything. Simply call customer service and give them your phone's IMEI number. They will check if an unlock code is available for you. If there is, then voila! You get to unlock your phone.
